Sec/Treas Phil "Buddha" Bond and Pres John Strachan welcome us at the Official Dinner on Sat 19th August 2006.
Col. Commandant Terry Beaton gives us his "Clayton's" address where, because of all sorts of restrictions we placed on him, he crumpled up each page and threw away most of his speech. However, he didn't forget to thank both the wives and partners of the veterans for their support and the hard-working committee for making the event such a success. You had to be there!
Photos (top down). After being marched forward to the front of the function room, CSM Milton Pearson is stunned as he is presented by Dennis Ratcliff with a replica of his "lost in action" 9mm pistol.
Milton proudly displaying his recently presented replica pistol with CLV Palmer, his former OC (now a 106 Fd Wksp RAEME Assoc committee member) on his left and his QM/Stores Officer (now our 106 Fd Wksp RAEME Assoc Pres) on his right. As Milton says "To say the 9mm presentation left me stunned was also an understatement and truly a memorable occasion for me. Well done to all involved especially to Dennis J. Ratcliff."
