The rain could not dampen 106's 25th Birthday Bash commencing with a welcome spit and light buffet on Friday afternoon 29th October. Saturday was spent walking through the various displays at the open workshop.

Saturday afternoon's slide session in the Borlace Club was well received with John "Abdul" Bailey balancing on a chair reciting bush poetry "The Man From Iron Bark" and some Russian number called "Abdul The Bull Bull Ameer" and myself conducting an "In Depth" interview into the life and times of Roly "Cherry Boy" Lanham.

The cabaret buffet on Saturday night was a full house. CVL Palmer made a nice presentation to the Unit then joined the lads for a guest spot singing "Uc Dai Loi, Cheap Charlie" after Milton explained what Saigon Tea and MPC (many, many pee) meant.

Roll Call A.M. Sunday saw a packed turnout at the Garrison Chapel. The current OC Maj. Tom Regner gave the address and the first OC WINS Hicks-Hall recited the Ode. Two colourful trumpeters played a musical Last Post.
